Indeed, for some reason though, this can ho badly wrong on larger DBs - not
all the time, but I have seen it happen on way top many occasions.

If you use the DTS Import/Export wizard in 2000 Enterprise Manager
(right click on your database and go to All Tasks/Export Data), when
you get to the part where you choose which tables to export, there
will be a "Transform" button on the right.  Click on that and it will
allow you to do the mappings. (and don't choose the option to copy
objects between SQL Servers in a previous step).
