I am pretty sure CF5 actually came with an OEM S(h)iteminder - if it is
indeed the same product, so I would assume it would be able to see it etc..

Others may be able to help, I never used it in anger myself other than when
used in Spectra (again, that was a looong time ago)

Subject: Siteminder

I have a question about Siteminder integration.

We've been mandated from on high to chage our security code to use a
variable set by a third party app called Siteminder. Orginally we used
cgi.remote_user which was set by the server. We are being told that we
have to use a variable called client.user_id which is set by Siteminder.

As an aside we use cgi.remote_user to determine login status, if it exists
and is not null the user is logged in, otherwise the user is redirected to
a login prompt.

My question is this: If a third party app sets a variable in the client
scope, can CF5.0 see it and use it.

Thanks

sas
