Just wanted to drop a quick note on how things ended up with the timeout issues
at HostMySite. I was finally able to get them to add an exception rule for me,
after sending them the information that it *was* possible and I would be able
to restrict it to just my download function. However, I still had some
customers running into timeout problems. I won't go into all the details, and
we're still not even sure on whose end the problem is occuring, and what
exactly SeeFusion was doing. But I decided I might as well at this point just
recode the darn download method so I don't have to deal with the issue any more
and so that I can include that code for all my customers in a future release
and not have them run into similar problems on HMS or any other hosts that sets
up similar timeouts. I used the suggestion of moving the download file to a new
temp directory and I appended the date to the directory name so I can easily go
through the list and delete any directories more than a day old. Seems to work
pretty well and while it's theoretically not as secure, it certainly is less of
a drain on the ColdFusion server.

Thanks to everyone for their help and suggestions, and to HostMySite for doing
their best to work through this. I'm still concerned about other things hitting
that SeeFusion timeout, but at least I know with enough insistence on my part
that I can get them to set up an exception when needed.
