with all due respect, i think that if somebody is going to ask others
to invest their time in making an effort to giving assistance, one
should show that they've made an effort as well.

i do believe that there's an expected level of etiquette on a tech
list (see http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html).

i'd be happy to discuss this further on cf-community or off-list :)
