Can other please confirm this: On CF7, datasources (at least for Oracle) ignore the the "disabled" setting, allowing connections even when they are supposed to be switched off. This was not a problem in CF6.
This really makes maintenance a pain, since instead of throwing the nice "datasource" disabled" error that a page can catch, the connection just times out if the DB is undergoing maintenance (and that takes forever). -- mxAjax / CFAjax docs and other useful articles: http://www.bifrost.com.au/blog/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Upgrade to Adobe ColdFusion MX7 Experience Flex 2 & MX7 integration & create powerful cross-platform RIAs http:http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;56760587;14748456;a?http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion/flex2/?sdid=LVNU Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/message.cfm/messageid:269873 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4
