Josh, thanks for the recommendation. We write the file to a local file server, so we aren't passing it back to the browser.
In this case there actually isn't a browser involved at all. This web service is called by an internal Java application when it wants PDFs generated. ~Brad -----Original Message----- From: Josh Nathanson [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, February 27, 2007 12:06 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: Re: cfdocument HELP! Brad, do you happen to be using cfheader on that page, something like: <cfheader name="Content-Disposition" value="inline; filename=whatever.pdf"> I had a similar issue when a spider hit a cfdocument-serving page a bunch of times in succession -- maybe it's because cfheader code above causes the need for some sort of reply from the client (asks client if they want to open or download the file). I suppose a spider wouldn't offer a response and so the hung thread. I removed the cfheader tag and haven't had it happen again. I could be way off but it's something to take a look at. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Upgrade to Adobe ColdFusion MX7 Experience Flex 2 & MX7 integration & create powerful cross-platform RIAs http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion/flex2/ Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/message.cfm/messageid:270831 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4
