I should also note that we currently run the 1.5 JDK in production and have done so for the past 18 months without any problems (also noting that we do not use any of the features discussed in the URL below). I'm sure there are other stories of companies who have upgraded and stories of companies who cannot, so take into account that some of your tags may not work, and that you must thoroughly test and QA your application before putting it into production.
Just to be clear, our recent switch to 1.6 JDK is just in development and hasn't yet made it to QA or production.
