I did my certification for CF5 and got advanced status. I didn't really
benefit from it too much but on the other hand my CF skills have been rarely
questioned lately. If I would be recruiting new people I wouldn't demand
certification but would definitely appreciate it. I guess I would still make
applicant to write some code.

Test itself covers pretty much every aspect of CF so to score well you need
to be familiar with about everything. There are also questions about related
things like HTML and SQL (if I recall correctly) which is appropriate since
you really need to know those things as well as a CF developer. 

As many other tests there's lots of trick questions where you really need to
think about your answer and not just choose whatever feels like correct one.
