I heartily recommend Irfanviewer. It's a free PC app that allows you to resize and rename images along with a raft of other things. Plus, you can run a series of commends, save them in an INI file and allow a client to simply "run" the INI file. A friend of mine uses it for one of his clients and he says that it works perfectly.
