Ok, I made some changes on the production server. Originally, I used a "*"
wildcard for the NameVirtualHost * and for the Listen I had 80. I changed
these and binded them to one of the IP's on the server.

My next step is to add openssl and enable mod_ssl and I will also add Listen
[IP_Address]:443 below the other listen 80.

My question now is, do i specify another NameVirtualHost [IP_Address]:443
and specify that in the virtual host that will be using the ssl?

I really need some more help with this, I will be launching the site next
week and it must be behind ssl.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
