I went through that on my Mac once, was trying to do local development
against a CF5 app that was written to a copy of the hosted Access
database.  I ended up migrating the database locally to SQL Server and
then manually updating the Access file with any changes that were needed
before going live.

If you can move them off Access then do so, it is not worth the
headaches to keep it around.
