OK - thanks for that. It might be better then to place under the photos, a numbered list of what the photos are? This could be better anyway.

Its supposed to provide an alternate description of the graphic for assistive technology to read when a non sighted person can't see the actual graphic. IE renders alt text as a tooltip.
