So combining those two responses...

We do have a dynamic site, but we also have a lot of images to be served up 
(it's an apparel company and the site is ecommerce)...so if I'm 
understanding correctly, we could benefit by setting up the 
images.domain.com, having our images cached at Akamai, but we wouldn't want 
to (or couldn't) serve up .cfm pages through them?
