Just throwing a random thought that occurred to me when I read this. If one cares to be a little nicer and proactive, maybe throw up a very simple and basic, "Your system appears to be infect with a bot and it is currently banned from access this site..." or something to that affect. The idea being maybe some of the poor souls may learn something.
