I'll probably change it that way. I stored it in 4 different field in the DB since each of the 4 parts mean certain things to the user. They could search and sort based on what they are trying to find. Also when they search they can just put input into any of the fields to find all the IPs with that number. So if the third part of the IP address is 10 they could just input something in the 3rd input box.
