Hi, Lawrence, Before you do anything else, I would suggest changing your <cfdiv> into a regular <div> (and launch the JavaScript function with a hyperlink or something) just to make sure that there isn't something about the way <cfdiv>s are rendered that the Google API doesn't like.
If you get the same error when you use a regular <div>, then I'd suggest posting this question in the Google Group forum for the Google Map API (http://groups.google.je/group/Google-Maps-API).
