Thanks Marcus. Just using the absolute path did the trick (could have sworn that I had tried that). What threw me off was that Dreamweaver provided only 3 options for the filename attribute and they were "ftp:", "http:", and "https:". So I was really led astray by Dreamweaver (guess this is a case of one division of adobe not communicating with another!).
