Ah ok, like this it works, thanks.
But I think I still like the Google solution better.
This way, I don't even have to supply an image file to customers, just a 
link like
<IMG 
SRC="http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?cht=p3&chd=t:40,30,20,10&chs=250x100&chl=Hello|World&chco=FF0000,00FF00,0000FF,ffff00,ff00ff,00FFFF">
in the html file will do the trick.
