Two thoughts on that: 1. Because the type of error being thrown and what types of errors your error.cfm handles. 2. It's an unhandled exception in ColdFusion itself (com/allaire/cfx/CustomTag null), so CF error handling is never invoked.

I'm not asking for help with why imagecr3 isn'tw orking (for what it's worth, I *AM* using the Java cfx_imagecr3 and the imagecr3 service, and the service is running as the local system account, which has permissions on the file in question). I've actually entered another thread about that... No, what I'm asking in this thread is why is my try/catch being ignored? Why isn't it CATCHING the error and dumping the cfcatch? Instead, it's running my error.cfm. -- Rick Root New Brian Vander Ark Album, songs in the music player and cool behind the scenes video at www.myspace.com/brianvanderar ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;207172674;29440083;f Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/message.cfm/messageid:320037 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4
