Hi, We would very much appreciate some expert interegation of the following scenario:
An ms access database system is setup within an internal network. It has no internet access or entry. It stores sensitive data. However non-sensitive data is passed to it via an email that is collected by a computer within the network. The computer then runs visual basic code to check the data within the email and store it into the database. Do you see any potential security issues with this i.e. sql injection via the email, or some code that will run queries and export data out of the network etc... does this seem like a viable option, or would setting up a VPN between the internal network and an external internet server that collects the non-sensitive data seem like a better option? if so what security problems do you see with the vpn option? thanks your interegation is greatly appreciated ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want?
