It was just a Hail Mary, as you'd said it works fine from your browser, but both the cron job and the scheduled task do the weirdness. :) I was playing the "what's the same and what's different" game, and cookies are a "usual suspect" when it works fine from a browser but not from something automated. The other thing I'd check would be response headers... maybe strap on a network sniffer and take a look at the traffic. :Den -- Whatever can be noted historically can be found within history.
