Claude, There will be an install log with some information in it regarding the failure. Sometimes I "unpack" all the files, find the directory being used and then click on the individual install files. Sometimes it's a problem with the "install anywhere" software that uses Java under the hood ( a core MS library can be missing). The log file should give you good clues.
I also turn OFF UAC (I hate windows treating me like I'm stupid) and log in as Administrator. -Mark Mark A. So I'm now struggling with reinstallation of everything under a new Windows 7 system. The good new, I was able to install CF Studio, in XP compatibility mode. But I know have a problem trying to install CF 9. I have the disk, I run the installer in administrator mode, this will just open a directory with many exes for different configurations. I execute (in administrator mode) the one that corresponds to my system, ie: ColdFusion_9_WWE_win64.exe, the installer opens, I see the progress bar progress,... then noting, the installer windows closes, nothing happens... What did I messed up ? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/message.cfm/messageid:344978 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/unsubscribe.cfm
