I may have misspoke here too.

After a couple of good night's sleep, I may have come up with a solution for
you.

Since this is a tracking solution, you can also make it into the display of
a logo.

1 - Set up a Cold Fusion template to do your tracking.
2 - As the last think on the page use the CFCONTENT tag to display the logo
with a reset (see the documentation)
3 - Have the HTM page call the CF template within an img tag.  Pass the URL
variables, etc.


This solution will force the browser to do another GET anf by specifying a
CF template, the CFAS will parse the page.
