Speaker: Ben Elmore
Title: "Data Level Caching - Caching the core of your application"

Summary: Each application that we write has an underlining theme or
data that it works against. This session will examine an approach
that analyze the application for the core information that drives it
and leverage caching and reorganization of this data to increase
performance. The topic will discuss and demonstrate simple caching
techniques, cache synchronization between clusters,
reorganization and reuse of cached data. These techniques will assist
developers in performance of their site, whether it be written in CF
or Spectra.

Bio: As Allaire Spectra Evangelist, Ben Elmore details and
demonstrates how much more productive Web developers can become using
Allaire Spectra. Currently working with Allaire on a contractual
basis, Ben has helped develop and deliver Allaire Spectra's
Development Methodology. Based out of Upstate New York, he is one of
the founders as well as Chief Technology Officer of RemoteSite
Technologies, Inc. and sits on the Board of Advisors for the Albany,
New York ColdFusion User Group. Ben is also a published, international
speaker renown for his in-depth knowledge of Allaire technology.


Speaker: Jo Belyea-Doerrman
Title: "CF Studio tips and tricks"

Summary:
Jo will show you shortcuts and neat things in Studio that you have
never seen before plus she will answer your questions on using Studio.

Bio: As a Web Applications Consultant at Syntegra, Jo Belyea-Doerrman
designs, implements, integrates and manages Internet/Intranet projects
for both commercial and government clients. She has 4 years experience
with Cold Fusion. Jo has extensive experience as a Project Manager
with international Content Management web sites. These projects have
included dynamic web sites that deliver language specific content
based on the users IP address.

CF Squares

It is like Hollywood squares but based on CF.

Two players playing tick-tack-toe.
For each of the 9 squares on the board there is a "CF celebrity"
There are 9 questions on CF. The players pick a celebrity /square to
be asked a question. The celebrity answers and the players can agree
or disagree. If the player is correct they get their symbol in the
square. First player to 3 in a row wins.

* Take I-270 to Route 28 (Exit 6B) towards Darnestown.
* Turn right at second light (Hurley Ave) and go up "S" bend hill.
* Park in the main lot and go in the main hotel entrance.
* Once inside the building follow the MDCFUG signs to the back room.
