I looked at some of the lower-end tools like Intellibrowser and Max3 -- not
powerful enough but just as expensive as ProClarity ($495 per license, price
break at 10 licenses saves you about $70 per seat). I also looked at some of
the higher-end tools, but I lost interest when I considered $$$.

For us anyway, ProClarity seems to be complex enough to do some fairly deep
analysis, but it is simple enough that executives and marketers can learn
how to use it. I would definitely recommend upgrading to SQL Server 2000 for
your Data Warehouse box, though. SQL Server 7 doesn't provide for any
drill-through, which sales and marketing folks love. If you'd like to talk
about it a bit more, email me directly and maybe we can hookup over the
phone.
