I'll second the mention of Forta's SQL in ten minutes as a good first
reference. It's a high level reference which is often exactly what you need,
rather than wading through paragraphs and chapters trying to find a relevant
example.

Beyond that, check out "SQL Clearly Explained" by Jan L. Harrington ISBN
0-12-326426-X, and "The Guru's Guide to Transact-SQL", by Ken Henderson ISBN
0201615762.

Subject: SQL Statement books

Does anyone know of any GOOD SQL reference books that explain in detail when
to use certain clause's? such as WHERE Whatever IN, the different types of
JOINS ect... basically a good reference book with a lot of detail. (i have
the "The Complete Reference SQL" by James R. Groff & Paul N. Weinberg.)
