Yes - go into the CF Administrator, click on LOCKING from the menu on the left. Towards the bottom of the scree you'll see the different locking options. Select AUTOMATIC READ LOCKING for Application, Server or Session variables. A couple of months ago there was some discussion regarding this topic.
