We had that problem, but it turned out to be a DNS name resolution problem. A tech person at AOL told me that AOL rejects mail if the sender's name doesn't resolve properly to the IP address, including the reverse name resolution. After our ISP fixed the problem, the AOL mail started to go thru again. I'll send you the email address of my AOL contact person off-list.
