Ask them to tell which CF tags they are familiar with, and when those tags 
would be used.  I also print out a copy of a fairly complex CF query and 
ask them what it does.

This should give you a reality check on their knowledge level.

Then ask them about a couple of fictional CF tags that you make up and see 
if they confess knowledge of those too.  This will let you know how honest 
they are.
