Actually, copyright also protects collections of free data if those data 
become valuable due to the fact that they are collections. This means 
that it is still possible to grab a few enmailadreesses etc, but the 
systematic harvesting makes use of the fact that it is a collection and 
is therefore not allowed.
Just think of a search engine. The links they have can not be 
copyrighted, but the collection of links as a whole can. Or maybe it is 
called database collection whatever law, but it is commonly refered to 
as copyright.

I don't. Actually, there are some customtags by my writing freely 
available on the internet. But posting them at the Developer's Exchange 
doesn't make you loose copyright as it did with your contest before you 
changed the rules.

Now that is something usefull for some of us. There was a time when I 
did some jobs on that basis.
