Go grab the CF Developer Study Guide for starters. I am at about the same
level as you in my CF journey and it is awesome - lays it all out so we can
see what we didn't look for to this point.

Subject: Learning Curves - Help!

Hey all-

I am what would probably be termed an advanced beginner to intermediate CF
programmer. All of what I know is self taught, so I have the holes where I
"learned what I needed to at the time", and skipped a couple of things. I
have played very little with application.cfm, and done almost nothing with
administration.

I will be graduating with an IT/Web development BS degree (Yes, that's
right, a BS in IT...heh), and soon after will most likely move into a newly
created Web programming spot in my company.

I have Mastering CF 4.5 and am starting to read through that, but what
other books would everyone recommend? The owner of the company (We are a
small company) is talking about doing some things with credit cards over
the web, playing .wav files, and a few other things that need to be secure.

What would you all recommend as a good course of action? And a good way to
judge what I am learning?

John
