G I use Linux and VMWARE to run all my windows apps on it..
linux is 10x more stable and reliable than windows for development
 actually for pretty much anything).
at least that's my experience. even windows runs better on it.. I don't know
why though..

as for linux development.. Kdevelop and Quanta are awesome editors..
for cold fusion studio I sometimes use Jedit but then again I have VM
running so anytime I need CFS I just run it....
anyway.. codeweaver wine is getting better soon you will be able to run it
natively from Lnx.

of course I will always boot winME to play my games :).
although the games I have for linux never hang on me like some do on ME.

and the number of people using Linux is growing.. pretty much all my friends
now
have Linux installed in their PCs and they are not developers ( heh.. they
like to play Q3 and Tribes2 on it 24/7).
