Hi Chris, We just launched a AbleCommerce site for my customer. Its a internal site that required forced-login and thus need to understand quite a bit of the code.
I have to agree with most of the comments, that its a rather mind boggling task customising it. Most of the time, I need to track down about 4 include files, deciphering a sparsely commented code, to make changes. We also encountered difficulty in migrating the database from the development server to the live one. All in all, its a package I hope I wont have to try customising again. Just my 2 cents. Good luck. As far as changing their existing code we may want to change the format of their forms just for appearance. Hopefully that part won't be too hard. Not afraid of doing a bit of work, but is their code difficult to figure out? Hoping it's well written and commented so we can figure out where we need to make changes.
