I stand corrected. I DID have CF handling turned on.

I turned it off as a test and when I do that (cf not doing anything about
404 errors)
then the script name is the name of the handler just like it is for non
cf errors. However the query string then contains the name of the missing cf
template.
On my system at least if you turn off cf handling you will always find the
called template in query string whether it is cf or not.

 If you want to try it just call www.vawter.com/whateveryouwant.html (or
cfm) and see what you get back. The handler prints out the name of the
missing file. In fact I use the same handler for multiple domains. If you
try www.vawter.com/sumthing.gif you should get a missing image gif. Please
don't try this hundreds of times because I am going to get an email each
time  but feel free to try it. I know where the delete key is.
