If you can see the connection in the system DNS setup, then I'm sure you have MyODBC drivers installed. You need to put in a few variables.
Windows DNS name: (the odbc name you want) MySQL host: (localhost if it's on your computer) MySQL database name: (the exact name of your dbase in mySQL) User: (the username you gave when installing mysql) Password: (the password you gave) Port: (3306 is default, you may have to put that in) Other then that theres all of the check boxes, but I never check any of them and it works fine. One other thing is to make sure that MySQL is up and running, if you have MySQLAdmin you can test it. ______________________ steve oliver cresco technologies, inc. http://www.crescotech.com -----Original Message----- From: Larry Juncker [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, January 21, 2002 2:49 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: Help with creating ODBC connection to use with MySQL I need some direction in creating a workable ODBC connection with mySQL.
