I haven't practiced much with Crystal but... I would start fresh using the Crystal wizard. Select all 3 tables you need and make sure you relate them. I've never seen a "multiple starting points" message but that sounds like you have unrelated tables. Make sure you make all tables and columns available to the report using the wizard. Also, I don't think I've ever successfully edited the SQL.
If you need serious phone help you might try calling Crystal Decisions. If you have enough time you might try to pick up a manual or Crystal for dummies book. It should have examples in it. Good luck. I am crashing ehre trying to hurry down what should be a simple report. I have three tables..tblMainEntry, tblEquipEntry and Equipment_tbl. I just add all three tables and I get the error that there are multiple starting points. I try to edit the SQL directly using Show SQL and it does not keep my SQL statement. It ignores what I put in the Select line of the SQL Statement. Namely Equipment_Tbl.Equipment_Desc. Now this is a field on the report hat I stuck in there, and of course since it is not in the select statement I keep getting errors saying field not in Select clause. I am at my wits end! Can anyone help? I'd be willing to call or perhaps even pay for some quick support somehow :) Really! -Angel Stewart ______________________________________________________________________ Get Your Own Dedicated Windows 2000 Server PIII 800 / 256 MB RAM / 40 GB HD / 20 GB MO/XFER Instant Activation · $99/Month · Free Setup http://www.pennyhost.com/redirect.cfm?adcode=coldfusionb FAQ: http://www.thenetprofits.co.uk/coldfusion/faq Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/cf-talk@houseoffusion.com/ Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/index.cfm?sidebar=lists
