I use the inline value, and it works fine for me, pops up a dialog to open or save.
<cfheader name="Content-Disposition" value="inline; filename='text.xls'"> <cfcontent type="application/msexcel" file="e:\Inetpub\wwwroot\intranet\managersinvites.xls"> If you don't use the cfheader, then the excel file will open in your browser, but I still believe it will show the dialog box.
