I've heard about that article, but haven't read it. Could you provide a
link?
It is well known that MySQL is very very fast reading, however under load
it's record locking is not up to par with the big guys, and it's write speed
is well below the rest.
What MySQL can not touch is MS SQL's stored procedure and dts stuff. DTS
alone is such a timesaver I wouldn't want to work without it again. Not to
mention the ability to very easily integrate COM objects into TSQL, and
tight XML support. Oh yeah and a wonderful client interface, Enterprise
Manager, Query Analyzer, and SQL Profiler are hard to beat.
