Are you using CFFLUSH before you try to update a cookie, or use a Client
variable set in cookies?

If so, cookies are stored in the header part of a HTML page, once it's
gone to the browser, you can't update it

Either stop using cookies for Client variables (use a datasource
instead) or don't use CFFLUSH
