I built my own, and run it from my home DSL connection using a spare CF Pro license I'm not using (i'm legal :D). Before that I used a $30/month hosting connection to run it. Either approach saves a *bundle* over a close-interval commercial service.
http://tinyclick.com/?0RZ8QG The above tag will monitor your site at any interval you specify. I use every 5 minutes, and test http (and db), https, smtp, pop and web mail. http://tinyclick.com/?2IG00B This tag will track downtime over time, and generate a pretty nice downtime report. Here's an actual one, from back in the bad old days when I was using Interland: http://foohbar.org/monitor/DownTimeReport.htm If using a commercial hosting acct, access to cfregistry is helpful so you can get a close-interval event scheduled. When I used a Media 3 host acct they were very nice in letting me do that on a cfregistry-enabled box ($29.95/month cf acct), after I asked nice and told them exactly what I was up to. --------------------------------------- Matt Robertson [EMAIL PROTECTED] MSB Designs, Inc., www.mysecretbase.com --------------------------------------- ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Bill Wheatley) Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] date: Wed, 10 Jul 2002 17:05:36 -0400 Hay i had a question there was a website that used to monitor your site for you and let you know when it was done anyone remember a URL for a site like that?
