My opinion would be that you could do either depending on what the
administrator has defined in the security settings.

I think I am gonna need help with this soon, it's a big job to do this
stuff, and I have lots of questions, like should a section be allowed to
have a file, link, directory, and article, or only allow it to 1? I have no
experience with using one of these things, and would appreciate any info. I
do have a field to allow content to expire.
