Yes,
We do similar.
On the sign-in screen the user enters "guest" as user_id and "guest" as password
(instructions say to do that).
After entering, the user is displayed a screen that allows them to "regenerate" a
password (sent via email to user) by inputing their email address.
We check the input email address through the LDAP server and if it matches we send
a new password via email to that user.
