Hi Taco,

Have you set the default SMTP mail server in CF Admin  or add the server attribute in the mail tag see if that fixes the problem.

Subject: [cfaussie] CFMAIL Null Pointer Error CFMX7

I have the following code on a newly installed version of ColdFusion MX7

<cfmail to="[EMAIL PROTECTED]" from="[EMAIL PROTECTED]" subject="test">
</cfmail>

It always complains about the TO=" line

"The system has attempted to use an undefined value, which usually indicates a programming error, either in your code or some system code" "null pointers are another name for undefined values"

I have checked the mail settings in CF administrator and it verifies fine.

I've also tried different variations of the code, and put the code on its own in a page, but always the same message, always pointing at the same line.

Any help is much appreciated.
