Not sure,

Given their code base in GoLive and Dreamweaver I would have thought doing a proper just CF editor wouldn’t be too hard.

Could “Shock and Awe” mean?

Pay for IDE, Free Server.

This would put them in the same boat .NET / Zend etc. Ahh forget it, I’m dreaming.

Dale,

I was under the impression that Fusion Reactor V2.0 had been released, oh well in the interim it still the best form of debugging we have.

Also I am surprised that the new IDE would not be built on Eclipse either, as they have invested a huge amount in doing that for Flex 2, its going to be interesting either way I think it will be a java application though.

I have a hot rumour for you all.

Adobe will release an all new all dancing Coldfusion IDE with lots of goodies, most noticeably an integrated debugger.

I have no idea of timing, but expect it to be around CF8 which is 2007 sometime.

If I am correct, it will be neither Dreamweaver nor Eclipse but a CF specific IDE built by Adobe.

For all of you who can't wait, the FusionDebugger is about to be released.
