It looks like ServiceCapture is meant to be used by a developer on a client machine, not the server.

That aside, the website mentions that FF needs to be configured by changing the proxy, to work with SC. Probably CF would need similar configuration.

Ok maybe I'm being thick, but I have installed serviceCapture on the windows server.  It captures browser traffic fine, but not outgoing http requests from cold fusion.  Does anyone know how to set it up to do so?

cheers,

Hi Toby,

Ethereal (http://www.ethereal.com /) is pretty good (and free), it's a bit
complicated & might be overkill for what you need though.

Hi all,

can anyone recommend a tool for viewing http/https posts, or just a
method of being able to dump the request?  I need something I can
stick on my server and view what coldfusion is actually posting to
some webservices I'm trying to use.  So far all the tools I've tried
either don't work or don't handle https...

cheers,
Toby
