Hi Brett,

I guess the most basic questions first.

You only require paypal processing?
You're happy for those customers choosing paypal to be presented with a
hosted page (leave your site temporarily)?
You have your own merchant account?

If yes to the first two I would just go with web payments standard. This is
obviously the easiest to implement. If no merchant account it's the way to
go.

A while ago I went through the same process but it was before Paypal bought
Verisign. Apparently you can now get Payflow which has an api/sdk so you can
process other credit cards as well as paypal transparently. Payflow was the
old Verisign product. (Expensive)

I wouldn't go this way personally because of the cost... i'd go with a
provider like eway or commerceengine for credit cards and just use web
payments std for paypal.

Perhaps call Paypal. I think you will find the local 1800 call will be
redirected to an offshore call centre. Support and sales is a bit hit and
miss.

FYI google payments is currently available to USA merchants and will be
available in OZ in 2008. The USA is a trial and free, no merchant fees. We
may see the same here.
