Hi All,

I have an excel spreadsheet that lists details of apartment owners that I
need to insert into my sql table

if the unit_number is a numeric value the data inserts into the sql table
unit_number column of type nvchar without a problem

If the unit_number value has a letter as the first of last character eg
w5102 or 1512a the value is not inserted into the sql table unit_number
collum it simply insert a blank value into the column

I have tried to format the unit_number column in the excel file to be text
however the above still occurs

Has anyone experienced this problem before when reading from excel data
files and what can I do to overcome the above so that the values with
characters as the first or last character as outlined above can be inserted
correctly into the table
