I have an excel spreadsheet that lists details of apartment owners that I need to insert into my sql table if the unit_number is a numeric value the data inserts into the sql table unit_number column of type nvchar without a problem If the unit_number value has a letter as the first of last character eg w5102 or 1512a the value is not inserted into the sql table unit_number collum it simply insert a blank value into the column I have tried to format the unit_number column in the excel file to be text however the above still occurs Has anyone experienced this problem before when reading from excel data files and what can I do to overcome the above so that the values with characters as the first or last character as outlined above can be inserted correctly into the table Regards Claude Raiola B.Econ (Acc), B.Hot.Mngt.
