This month we're pleased to have Ray Camden, developer evangelist from Adobe present to us on using HTML5 WebSockets with ColdFusion 10.
An introduction to WebSockets and their implementation in ColdFusion. No previous experience with WebSockets is required, but basic familiarity of JavaScript would help. Even if you have not had any experience with ColdFusion, you're still more than welcome to come and see first hand how simple ColdFusion can make your server-side development. Ray is a well known figure in the ColdFusion community and is now working as a Developer Evangelist for Adobe. Ray will be presenting to us remotely from the USA, and we're very thankful he's willing to get up in the middle of the night to do so for us. You can find out more about Ray at his site http://www.raymondcamden.com/ Date: Thursday, November 15, 2012 Time: 6:30 PM Location: CogState Level 2 255 Bourke Street Melbourne, VIC, 3000 A note on the door will provide a number to ring for access. NOTE: We have moved this group to Meetup, http://www.meetup.com/Melbourne-Adobe-Developers. Please register with meetup for a bonus place in our twice-yearly Adobe software prize! Please RSVP at meetup if you are planning to attend so we know how many pizzas to order. As always, many thanks to Dale Fraser and CogState for their hospitality. We look forward to seeing you all there.
