I could also point out that if I call the iiNet help line, I can do it 24
hours a day, and I speak to a real person within about 4 minutes of making
the call, and they actually help you out with your problem!
They also have a mailing list, that you can choose to be added to, that
lists every single actual and potential technical fault that they are
planning to have or find themselves having. You don't need to wonder whether
the problem is yours and not theirs. (I get that sent to my work email
address, not to my iiNet account. That would be silly!) They send updates on
ongoing problems including expected resolution times, and updates when
services return, and then closing notices when they have monitored the
effected system being stable for a certain amount of time.
