Will this method work if you were to do something on the footer of the table
as well or would that be asking to much?

table headers

OK, thanks all for the help, especially Shane who came up with the
answer. Here is the psudo-final:

http://203.89.231.233/causeIlovecfAussie.cfm

I liked this: http://www.imaputz.com/cssStuff/bigFourVersion.html

But it didn't address the horizontal scroll with maintaining columns.

And this one is good: http://www.activewidgets.com/

But apart from the cost, I would still need to figure out what they
did. On an aside, I have also found that using off-the-shelf widgets
often add too much in order to make it meet everyone's needs, and even
then their not "exactly" what you want and they can be difficult to
seamlessly fit into a given framework.

Now to incorporate into CFAjax.

I'm sure I'll have more Q's as I come up- to speed on other people's work.
;)

Cheers,
